About

Netservers is an established cloud infrastructure provider, data center colocation operator, and managed connectivity specialist headquartered at 21 Signet Court, Swanns Road, in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Founded in 1998 and led by Director Eric William Barrett-Payton, the company has delivered independent computing facilities, server hosting, and business telecommunications to commercial businesses, software developers, biotechnology ventures, and technology startups across Cambridge and the United Kingdom for more than twenty-five years. Netservers was built to provide reliable, agile, and technically transparent hosting infrastructure backed by deep engineering expertise.

The core service architecture of Netservers centers on its sovereign Cambridge colocation facilities and private cloud hosting platforms. The company operates secure data center space in Cambridge, providing client organizations with dedicated server racks, redundant power distribution, precision cooling, and multi-homed carrier internet connectivity. Netservers enables businesses to colocate their proprietary server hardware locally or deploy high-performance dedicated servers, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and customized Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) virtual clusters engineered to their precise computational specifications.

In addition to hosting and colocation, Netservers operates as an independent business internet service provider, engineering high-speed leased lines, fiber-to-the-premises broadband, bonded connectivity, and managed site-to-site VPN networks connecting distributed corporate offices. The firm's network engineering team oversees enterprise local area networks, commercial Wi-Fi deployments, and hardware firewall management, ensuring high throughput and low-latency performance for data-intensive research facilities and technology enterprises throughout the Cambridge cluster.

Netservers also delivers business email hosting and messaging solutions, maintaining specialized expertise in Zimbra collaboration suites, private cloud storage repositories, and domain DNS management. The company's technical engineers handle continuous physical and logical server surveillance, hypervisor virtualization maintenance, operating system patching, and preventative data backups to ensure maximum uptime and operational integrity. By maintaining complete ownership and direct engineering control over its local network infrastructure, Netservers offers Cambridge-area organizations a local hosting partner where clients deal directly with senior systems engineers.
